Which one is the Betrayer?

by Elizabeth

This was a gift for my son that plays Board games with friends (they are all late 20’s). He almost bought it for himself as he said it is one of the most fun interactive group games he has played was thrilled with it!! Definitely, a scenario game for adults and lots of fun!

Best game

I've bought this more then once, the kids got to the pieces of my first one and recently replaced. My family loves this game and we have so much fun every time we play. It's like a short DND session.

Wonderful edition to the game corner!

by marsm4_7041

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful game for entertainment on stay in nights with friends and family! Great for the value for money as there are 50 different scenarios to play with. Very high quality, I was surprised by the thickness of cards and figures provided. Durable to last a long time. Packaging itself is basic as it is for all games!

Improved version of Avalon hill game

by archies4_1011

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3rd edition of Betrayal at House on the Hill is more approachable than the 2nd edition. The rules are more easier to follow and simple enough for anyone to pick up. The only cons of the third edition is that the haunts are a little lackluster. There are also less haunts compared to the first and second edition. Overall, this edition is an improvement from the other games and a fun board game to play.

Passing on a family favorite

by anonymous

This game is a family favorite- so we wanted to get a copy as a Christmas gift for one of our members that recently moved out. We hope they enjoy it as much as we always did as a family with their friends. It’s not opened yet, but we expect the quality to be like our copy. Was a lot more expensive than what we paid, but all things are these days.

Perfect Spooky Season Game

by emileedowning9_6435

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun, immersive and engaging collaborative game! Just the right amount of spooky. Rey detailed and in depth. Game pieces and packaging are high quality and on theme. Putting the game away after first use in the packaging is awkward, not necessarily ample space for all the pieces.

Fun but room for improvement!

by lgk1_5683

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Betrayal at House on the Hill is a fun and engaging game with a wonderfully spooky atmosphere and fantastic artwork. The concept of exploring a haunted mansion that changes each game is creative and keeps things interesting. The illustrations and overall design really help bring the game to life. That said, the game can be a bit confusing at times. The directions could be worded more clearly, especially for new players. Also, while the idea of having dozens of different haunts is cool in theory, in practice, some of them feel unbalanced—either the traitor is way too strong or don't stand a chance. Fewer, better-developed haunts would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. Despite these issues, it's still a fun game that's great for a group looking for a story-driven experience with a spooky twist.

Fun game!

by gwynethm2_5295

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just played Betrayal at House on the Hill (3rd Edition) and it was such a fun ride. The game starts off cooperative as you explore this creepy old mansion together, uncovering rooms and strange events—and then suddenly, one of you becomes the traitor and everything flips. It felt super immersive and dramatic, like being dropped into a horror movie with your friends. What I loved most was how every game is different because of the variety of “haunts” that can happen. The twist when the betrayal happens is honestly my favorite part. It's chaotic in the best way. Also, this 3rd edition looks great and feels a bit more streamlined than the older one. Highly recommend if you like a mix of strategy, suspense, and a little bit of betrayal (in a fun way, of course).
