Cytosis Is A Nice Scientific Strategy Game
by ArborRanger
It was nice that this game had a how-to-play video made for it, which was helpful in getting started to learn it. The rulebook was attractive, well-arranged, and answered just about all questions that came up during gameplay. It was also thoughtful of them to make the two-sided board - one side for two players and the other side for three or more players. For the first-time gameplay, it started off slow because of not knowing what all the symbols and cards and labels meant, but we looked them up as we played and eventually understood exactly what we needed to do to complete cards, goals, and the end-game bonuses. One of the best things about this game is that it is actually based off of real cell biology, so you can learn and have fun at the same time. It's fun to say all the long names of the different cell parts and processes, too. Overall, Cytosis is a nice strategy game in the realm of cell biology, where you make decisions based on the resources you have/gain, the card completion requirements, and the available spaces on the game board.
