For Christmas last year, I decided to give the my grandkids the toys my friends and I played with instead of all the techno and screen gifts so prevalent these days. My granddaughter wants to be a doctor when she grows up, and this seemed aa

Operation...The Same Game From The PAST

by Denise

It is the same game I remember playing it as a child. A true classic. And my children enjoyed it also. So I just had to get it for my granddaughter. She is 5 1/2 and does have a little difficulty with it. Heck I played it with her and did struggle a bit. But fun none the less. Some games just never to out of style.

JUST AWFUL

by Sini

This is so heart breaking how cheaply made this thing is!!! I wanted to share the experience with my grand babies that I had as a child playing this game. OMG. I WANTED TO CRY!!! Cheap. Flimsy. Don't work. Thin. Just complete disappointment. Very upset. Please. Don't waste your time or money.

Classic enjoyable game for the family!

by Natalie

Operation is a classic, fast-paced board game where players take on the role of a surgeon attempting to remove quirky ailments from a patient without triggering the buzzer. The game is fun, challenging, and requires a steady hand, making it a great choice for family or party play. Its combination of precision, lighthearted humor, and tension creates an entertaining experience, though it can become repetitive over time. Overall, it's an enjoyable and simple game that stands the test of time.

30 years later and still one of my favorite games

by Sarah

This game is just like i remember as a kid. The only thing that is different that i dont remember is the play money that you incorporate into the game . That is a fun addition to one of my childhood favorite games that now my children love playing . Its not only a fun game, but it also is helping my kids with their hand coordination. It is all the same material and quality that I remember having as a kid, and I am now 30:)

Cheaply made

by Anonymous

I remember having one of these games when I was little and this one is nothing like it. This game has been so cheaply made and it is not nearly as much fun. Beware this is not a game for smaller kids. My grandson is 7 and he just keeps loosing the tiny pieces besides that, keep smaller siblings from swallowing them.

I purchased this game along with Connect 4 and Trouble as Christmas gifts, and I wanted to keep them all! It was a total trip down memory lane, and it was such a great deal! I hope Walmart will offer this again because the recipients of these gifts absolutely loved them!!

This game is being collected along with others for children's Christmas presents in December. It was always a favorite of mine when I was young so I'm sure that it will go to a child that will enjoy it.

A true blast from our past!

by JJ

This is a game we played back in the day and had a lot of fun. We decided to buy a new one so we can play it again. Not much has changed from when we played as kids it is still a cool way to spend an afternoon relaxing

Who doesn't love this classic game?! My kids and their cousins love to play this together. Not only are they refining their fine motor skills when they are pretending to operate but also their reading skills when reading the task cards and their math skills when they earn money for each task they complete. Would definitely recommend!

Good, relatively updated version of the game.

by A local teacher

It works and makes for a good fine motor skills exercise. Price was fair and I liked that there were three different materials used in the pieces. Not 5 stars because I expected a sturdier construction, and I never like realizing that batteries are not included.

Damaged and used

by Sarah

We purchased this through grocery pickup and the box was damaged, had been opened, missing pieces, and had melted chocolate all over it.

It's a gift so I don't know what the quality will be. I saw some reviews that spoke of the quality being not as sturdy as the game made years ago.

Operation game review

The instrument to pick up the pieces is not good. It is no where close to the old version. It is small with rounded edges %26 it is hard to pick up the pieces. Plus the pencil piece was missing.

When I gave this to my grandson I think it wasn't properly sealed. He said he just opened the box. Some of the body parts were missing and a pair of tweezers

Nostalgic

Fun Childhood memories being remade for my own kiddos. The frustration and “scare” of the buzz is all part of the fun lol. Our 9 year old boys like it.
