Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you love Harry Potter and monopoly, this is the game for you! Each player gets a character card that grants a special power throughout the game. Sometimes it feels a little unfair but everyone has an edge. The box it came in ripped a little bit , but we've played it numerous times before that actually happened. Honestly, it's a great game for a small group of people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Monopoly Deal: Harry Potter Edition is a magical twist on the classic card game. With fun spell cards and character abilities, it's fast-paced, easy to learn, and perfect for Potter fans. Great for quick game nights—just beware, it might get a little competitive! 🧙‍♂️✨

Really fun if you like the original and Harry Pott

by allisonk51_6496

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a fun game! We played this with my kids but then my husband and I also played it at a brewery recently. It plays just like monopoly deal but with some fun Harry Potter surprises. You get to pick a character at the start and they have special powers that help you throughout the game. I also felt like it had more special activity cards than the normal monopoly deal. Like the original version it was about a 20 min game and we had a blast with it!

Monopoly but with cards! Harry Potter Version

by androodoodoo_6334

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple game, for between 2-5 players. Upon opening you get two decks and a rule sheet. Rules are detailed and explained well. It's similar to monopoly but your goal is to complete sets of same magical item in different color. Then there's magic spells to disrupt or assist. There's also a pay system involving your items or spells. Once you get the hang of it, you understand concept of the game quickly. And game lasts for a fair and good amount of time. Fun for Harry Potter Fans and Monopoly enthusiasts alike!

Monopoly meets magic!

by melissaw670_9379

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Monopoly Deal is my favorite game ever, so I was super excited to try the Harry Potter version—and it did not disappoint. It’s just as fast-paced and competitive as the original, but with all the magic of the Wizarding World. The house cards and spells add a fun twist without making the game too complicated. It’s perfect for game night, even with people who aren’t hardcore Potter fans.

Great iteration of the original game!

by arielcf4db_5044

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I loved this, and played a solid 4 rounds while testing this out! If you’ve played the original monopoly deal, it was pretty easy to understand how to play this one since it’s the same general concept. We did wish that some of the new things were expanded on a bit like the character cards. But we kind of just ended up making house rules on the things we didn’t quite understand - for example could Cedric take just from the discard or just from the draw pile or one from each? We ultimately played just from either the discard or draw pile, even though a couple of us questioned what was correct. And if we didn’t house rule it, we did find some solutions after a quick google search. Quick note is that if you want to play with the characters, there are only 5 players max allowed and this isn’t clear in the box. I searched all around the box and it doesn’t have a number of players written on it which is odd. Obviously you could play without them but even with that I don’t think you could play with too many people since it would limit how many total cards everyone would have access to. So in general, this seems to be a 2-5 player game.

Monopoly Deal Harry Potter

by beautyjadereviews_8762

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love monopoly deal! I’ve played the original one and it’s a family favorite. The Harry Potter edition is more magical. You can play spells to steal or disrupt your partners turn. You even get character cards that give you an additional advantage in the game.

Great Game Night Addition!

by madisonb19_5543

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been such a fun addition to game nights! I am a library programmer and it has been a hit to add to our gaming collection. Who doesn't love a good, fun Harry potter themed game? So many patrons grab for it. My kids also love it. It's super portable and can be taken everywhere. It comes with instructions which were a little hard to understand at first but after the first round we got it. Fun for all!

Good quality cards, impressive design.

by larysa_9289

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you like playing card games, you will like this game. Especially for magic and Harry Potter Fans. It is combination of Hearts magic and classic "Monopoly". There are no long games or boring queues, just strategy, a bit of luck and a lot of fun. Although to be honest, it took us a long time to Figure out the instructions. A fun game with spells, it adds a magical atmosphere to the game. Fun to play with children. Plus you choose a character and play for him, it's fun.

On the go entertainment

by livinglargeinasmall_4381

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought the Harry Potter Deal Game in my bag to a youth basketball tournament this weekend and it was a hit! The older kids played the game according to the directions and the younger ones lined up the cards faced down and used the spells to create their own version of the matching game. The illustrated character cards are pretty cool, even if they don’t match the book illustrations. We had fun going through the deck and finding all of our favorite characters. I would recommend this Hasbro game for any Harry Potter fans.

Fun game

by Anonymous

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls, age 10 & 13 played this game as they like Harry Potter. The 10 year old liked having the character cards and being able to stop the other player from using their special power. The 13 year old said it was a little confusing but in the end it turned out to be pretty fun. She liked being able to collect the cards and stack up on points and the character cards as well. It’s a small card game that can be thrown in a purse or bag. I would say the packaging and durability are similar to other card games.

Its cute

by laural3170_2926

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed the idea of this card game, however I personally found it a little difficult to play. It will definitely take some time to learn the rules without looking at the directions a million times. I do think it can be a fun game and I love the Potter theme. Packaging and themeing is super cute. Its also a travel friendly game and easy to take wherever.

Complicated but interesting

by drewk6_5421

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this is a complicated game. We tried playing it with 2 people and had trouble picking up on the rules. But I’m sure if you had 3 or 4 people, and a better grasp on the rules, it could be fun and give you the same cut-throat vibe as real Monopoly. The Harry Potter theme was a nice touch.

Wanted to Love, But…

by haleyd123_1769

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product complimentary in exchange for an honest review. I love HP and I love Monopoly, so this was a match made in Heaven in my eyes…but I wasn't impressed. The game's instructions are lengthy and not very helpful. There was so much I was questioning while playing. It takes a while to play through the game, too. The cards seems sturdy and well made, but I hate that you have to stack the cards in the game box when not in use. I get it makes it more portable, but it gives way to more damage or losing pieces to it.
